It makes me so happy to see loyal readers be able to travel for pennies on the dollar.  Carol sent me a message recently about her trip to Hawaii and how it was more affordable using her airline miles.

Since Hawaii’s air is very moist and tropical, rainbows are a common sight.

Where have you traveled?

We just returned from Maui and had a fabulous time.

Hawaii beach canopies
You can lounge all day at the beach and let your worries and stress fade away.

How did you get there and where did you stay?

We traveled using points from signing up and getting an American Airlines credit card which we received 40,000 points (click here for current Citibank American Airlines offer) which turned into a free flight.  The next credit card to use for free flights will be Hawaiian airlines credit card which went you sight up you get 35,000 points which is a free flight and then you get a 50% champion flight also.  Thanks Bald Thoughts for sharing how to travel with points.

We stayed at Ka’anapali Beach Hotel.  It is the only Hawaiian hotel on the island.  Had a great deal which included room car and daily breakfast and parking and free in room safe.  The people who work there are all Hawaiian and make you feel like home the staff are fantastic.

Hawaii until we meet again
“…until we meet again” with Carol learning how to redeem miles for more travel, I’m sure she’ll be returning soon!
